Step by Step Setup Guide with Screenshots
01 – Opening Outlook 2010 for the first time

or if you have opened outlook before it may not prompt to setup an account.
01a – Create a new account by clicking on the file menu and add account

and then continue as follows…
02 – Choose yes to configure an email account

03 – Prompt for your details name email and password

04 – Select to manually configure the server settings

05 – Keep the selection on internet email and press next

06 – Choose IMAP for cloud mail sync between computer and phone or POP to download separate copies to each device

07 – Incoming and outgoing server is secure.emailsrvr.com and the email address is the username

08 – Click the more settings button to open the additional settings

09 – Outgoing tab: tick my outgoing server smtp requires authentication

10 – Click onto the advanced tab

11 – Select SSL dropdown for the incoming mail and auto for the outgoing mail and change the outgoing port to 587

12 – Press the ok button and then next to test the settings

13 – Press the finish button to launch outlook

The account is now setup. If you haven’t used outlook before the following additional steps will help you answer some default settings questions for first time users and setup an email signature.
14 – Press yes for making outlook the default mail program

15 – If the activation wizard appears press next to complete activation

16 – Activation is complete press close to continue

17 – Select the recommended settings for updates etc and press ok

18 – In the main outlook email screen and we can see the test email arrived

19 – Create a new message from the New button and enter the email subject and so on

20 – Click the new button to create a new signature file

21 – Enter a name for the signature file like my signature

22 – Enter some details into the signature and select for it to go on new messages

That’s it, you should now have your email setup and signature configured for Microsoft Outlook 2010.
