About Jezweb and Jeremy Dawes

Newcastle Infotech began with me producing websites from from home on weekends. The business continues to grow and expanded to include internet and computer service and support for business in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, The Hunter Valley, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and beyond.

From an early age I have been an avid computer and internet enthusiast; absorbing countless magazines, books and web pages. I became intrigued with computers and the technology surrounding them throughout highschool. In the late 1990's I was building websites for local clubs and organisations as well as personal homepages. The internet continued to grow and became a household term. This passion for technology laid the foundations for a future in internet publishing. At the age of 21, the hobby progressed into a part time occupation. Initially as an opportunity to pay for additional aviation training, later as a primary income source.

Thanks to the guidance and encouragement from friends and family, the business websites soon multiplied and the opportunity to continue this growth became more evident and plausible. A career of designing and constructing websites for a fast-growing list of clients ensued. As a computer-wise jack of all trades I am able to offer a variety of services, ‘from helping people with email to putting computers together'. My primary role is as a web page designer extends now to many facets of the business, an activity that inspired what began as a one-man business grew to meet the increasing demand for web services that are affordable, reliable and practical profitable ventures.

An article from The Newcastle Herald on 14th January 2003, quoted Jeremy as saying; ‘It has progressed in leaps and bounds,' 'It has surprised myself, and my parents too. It's been quite amazing.' Originally he began working from both his parents' home at Fassifern, and from Sydney where he was employed in the information technology industry, Jeremy established his service as a growing concern. ‘At first it was like a hobby, then I was approached by a friend who runs a business to do a website. From there, I found there was a demand...'

My clientele are mainly owners of small to medium businesses, mostly in Newcastle and Hunter Region and also based as far away as Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. As well as designing and building websites, a range of other services are provided.

‘It's becoming almost a requirement these days for businesses to have websites, but a lot of people don't have the skills, or the time or the equipment to do it for themselves.'
